Our emotions shape how we experience the world, yet they often feel overwhelming or out of our control. How can we develop a wiser, more compassionate relationship with them? In this talk, Buddhist teacher Venerable Thubten Chodron will offer practical guidance on understanding and working with emotions from a Buddhist perspective. Drawing from ancient wisdom and her decades of teaching, she will explore how mindfulness, wisdom, and compassion can help us navigate difficult emotions and cultivate inner peace. Venerable Chodron is known for her accessible, down-to-earth teaching style, making complex Buddhist concepts clear and applicable to daily life. Whether you are new to Buddhism or have been practicing for years, this talk will provide valuable insights on transforming emotions and deepening self-awareness.


ABOUT THE TEACHER

Venerable Thubten Chodron is an American Buddhist nun in the Tibetan tradition, a renowned author and teacher, and the founder and abbess of Sravasti Abbey, a monastery for Western nuns and monks in the United States. She is a student of the Dalai Lama and many other great Tibetan masters. Venerable Chodron is well known for her warm, humorous, and lucid teachings, and her skill in emphasizing the practical application of the Buddha’s teachings in our daily lives.
