The Path of Joy
Over these two evenings, Ven. Amy Miller will provide participants with a practical guide for cultivating happiness and guidance on how to overcome suffering amidst life's challenges.
Interweaving "Steps on the Path" (Lam Rim, the foundational philosophy of Tibetan Buddhism) and "The Book of Joy" (conversations with His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu, see below), this course explores the eight pillars of joy: perspective, humility, humor, acceptance, forgiveness, gratitude, compassion, and generosity, and provides the realistic tools necessary to successfully accomplish this task.
