What is Samsara?
To practice Buddhist teachings, it is absolutely essential to understand what Samsara
means. True Dharma practice, whether Hinayana or Mahayana, can only arise
when we have this knowledge. Not a superficial intellectual understanding, but deep
understanding, a realization, is necessary to motivate us to overcome all difficulties and
obstacles in our practice. The more we understand, the more power our
practice has, and the more joy we derive from applying the Dharma.
Every time we strive to understand Samsara, we are inspired.
We are exceptionally pleased that the Venerable Geshe Tenzin Zopa, a former
close disciple of Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche and himself a highly learned master of
Tibetan Buddhism, has agreed to give a lecture on this topic at our center.
Taking Refuge
Furthermore, new practitioners who have decided to follow the Buddhist path can take refuge in Geshe-la.
