Green Tara is a central Buddha figure in Tibetan Buddhism. She represents active compassion, skillful action, fearlessness, and the swift fulfillment of all desires. Visualizations and meditations on her enlightened powers and abilities help us to discover and develop these qualities within ourselves.
At the Longku Center, we also regularly perform the Green Tara practice and puja. We are therefore extremely pleased that Geshe Tenzin Zopa will be giving us the initiation for this valuable practice.
There are no specific requirements for the initiation; everyone is welcome. The only important thing is that you show respect to the teacher giving the initiation and do not turn against them, not even later. The initiation creates a special connection with the teacher.
